Aplazan resolución sobre posible juicio al comisionado del Instituto de Migración de México por el mortal incendio en centro de migrantes de Ciudad Juárez

(CNN Español) — Un juez del Centro de Justicia Penal federal de Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, aplazó para el próximo domingo la resolución de si se someterá o no a juicio al comisionado del Instituto Nacional de Migración (INM), Francisco Garduño Yáñez, por su posible responsabilidad en el incendio que dejó 40 personas muertas en un centro del organismo.En la próxima audiencia, el juez Víctor Manlio Hernández Calderón deberá decidir si Garduño podría ser imputado del delito de ejercicio ilícito del servicio público, y si se le formularán cargos por fallar en su responsabilidad de proteger a las personas que estaban bajo la custodia de INM, como lo acusa la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR). DENVER (KDVR) — The Denver Nuggets advance to the next round of the playoffs after a 112-109 win in the final seconds of Game 5 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.The Nuggets had a slow start, trailing by 15 points in the first quarter and rallying to trail by 7 by halftime. The team stayed in a close game against the Timberwolves into the fourth period, when they blew a tight lead in the final minutes of the game. The Timberwolves kept the score neck and neck until the Nuggets made key shots to retake the lead.It was a tight showing for Denver, who led the series 3-0 until Minnesota took an overtime win in Game 4 in Minneapolis.This series marked the first time the Nuggets reached a 2-0 playoffs lead since 2009. Residents at Miami’s Nirvana condominium complex concerned about crocodile sightings

A community is raising safety concerns after spotting a crocodile roaming in the waters of their backyard. They say the reptile is too close to where dogs and kids play.“It’s scary. Boston police arrest man in connection with Back Bay sexual assault

Boston police have made an arrest in connection with a sexual assault in Back Bay over the weekend, police announced. Police previously asked for the public’s help identifying a suspect after they said an individual was assaulted around 11:45 p.m. Saturday in the area of Beacon Street and Public Alley 908. In an update, police said they arrested 33-year-old Nahom Getaneh around 2 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Atkinson Street and Southampton Street in Boston in connection with the incident.Police said Getaneh was wanted on two outstanding warrants on charges including failure to register as a sex offender and possession of Class B drugs. He is also now facing charges of assault with intent to rape and indecent assault and battery, police said.MIT officials said the person who was attacked was an MIT student. People with spinal cord injuries are getting some high-tech help in the form of a Bluetooth mouthpiece developed by an MIT graduate that makes it easier for individuals with mobility issues to use computers. Speaking with 7NEWS, the team behind the technology said their goal is to give everyone equal access.  “People with severe hand impairment are isolated in this world and it’s just not fair,” said Augmental Co-Founder Tomas Vega. “So, our interface seeks to help those people and enable them to access and to share with the world.” The mouthpiece allows users to use their tongue to scroll and click on items on desktop and mobile devices. “It’s all embedded in the mouth,” Vega said. “It’s silent. It’s private. It’s expressive. TOKYO (AP) — Honda is gearing up for an electrification shift in North America with two models developed with General Motors going on sale next year and a bigger EV with a new platform in 2025, a year earlier than initially announced. “We believe that the value society places on being kind to the environment will only build in momentum,” President Toshihiro Mibe said Wednesday in announcing a sprawling set of initiatives intended to put Honda on the global EV map.
